About the Customer
Macwell Auto Engineering is a leading manufacturer of precision-engineered automotive components, supplying to major OEMs across India. Their production facility requires a continuous supply of clean, dry compressed air for pneumatic tools, paint finishing, and automation systems — where moisture can directly affect product quality and equipment reliability.
Problem
Before installing Himalaya Air Dryer, the compressed air system at Macwell’s plant faced frequent moisture problems, especially during monsoon and humid conditions.
-
Water traces were observed in pneumatic lines and tools.
-
Production interruptions occurred due to rusting and air valve choking.
-
Paint finishing and surface coating quality were inconsistent.
This moisture issue caused downtime, maintenance costs, and quality rejections, directly impacting productivity and delivery timelines.
Solution
To overcome these challenges, Himalaya Refrigeration recommended and installed a 400 CFM Refrigerated Air Dryer – Model HR-AD-400 in 2020.
The dryer efficiently maintained a stable dew point of +3°C, ensuring dry, clean compressed air for all production processes. After successful performance and reliability over two years of operation, Macwell Auto Engineering added another HR-AD-400 unit in 2022 for their new production line expansion.
Result & Performance
-
Consistent air dryness and improved pneumatic performance
-
Zero moisture-related rejections in paint and assembly areas
-
Reduced maintenance and longer equipment life
-
Reliable operation under continuous 24x7 industrial conditions
Both units have been running efficiently with minimum maintenance and high energy savings, proving the robustness and reliability of Himalaya Air Dryers.
